WHIDBEY SUN & WIND’s Kelly Keilwitz joined Gwen today for an hour of “sustainable” information about sun, wind and hydro energy.  This interview will be available by podcast from the KWPA site in one week.

Founder Kelly Keilwitz is the managing member of Whidbey Sun & Wind, LLC. Kelly is a registered professional civil engineer with a background in geotechnical engineering. Kelly’s training in renewable energy began in 1999, through Solar Energy International. He has completed the following courses through SEI: Photovoltaic Design & Installation, Advanced PV, Wind Power, Microhydro Power, Solar Hot Water, Build Your Own Wind Generator, and Solar Home Design. Kelly is certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) as a Certified Solar PV Installer.

Kelly and his family live next door to the Whidbey Sun & Wind office. His home is a model of sustainable remodeling and living techniques and renewable energy use. Kelly and his family enjoy skiing, hiking, biking, paddling & sailing and living in this beautiful, rural community as sustainably as is they can. Kelly is a member of the Mount Baker Ski Patrol, and the Island County Trails Council. “I consider myself very fortunate to live in a beautiful place, have a half-minute commute (if I pause to pet the dog and breathe in the setting), where I get to work with such a capable, committed, and fun group of people, providing solutions that make our customers happy and the planet a better place!”, says Kelly.
